| Trip Notes:
4 of us paddled on a beautiful smooth, moonlit night. Were able to
enter the ocean for a bit. The water was like glass.

Paddle in the Brookings Harbor. A pleasant
& safe paddle enjoyable in either the daytime or
under a full moon. The put-in is at the east
end of the harbor. You will see 4 or 5
lanes of launch ramp that drop into the harbor.
Park and put-in here.
The Chetco River is tidal east to the big
bend. Paddle to the end of the
estuary...paddle around in the commercial
harbor...take a look a Coast Guard boats up
close...poke your nose out to the bar...see what
the ocean looks like. |
